So as promised I had another post in honor of our new baby hedgehog Sticker, it's a really cool recipe I found. Its called Hedgehog Slice.I'v never tried it but it looks sooo good! The Duke of Cambridge likes it so much he requested it as his grooms cake (well they call it a Chocolate Biscuit Cake). I've seen a couple ingredients differ from recipe to recipe even a really pretty eggless version which for me, will be the one that I'm going to try! I have issues with eggs anyway I mean I know they have there place in our food chain/menu/etc and especially baking, but ewww ewww ewww yuk eggs are gross especially uncooked ones. This forum discusses the egg less issue a bit more and about halfway down the page there is even a caramel version. If you are a visual person and want to watch a really enthusiastic Australian dude cook check out this you tube video for his version.
So happy cooking all!

Introduction
I thought it would be great to coincide
my first post on my mostly craft centered blog with the announcement
of my new furry (well maybe not so furry) friend!
(Yeah they have absolutely nothing to do with each other which further goes to prove that I have appropriately named my blog) I absolutely love this little guy but first a little history.

For the most part I’m a horse girl at heart but after
spending the last 14 years without one it has left that place in my
heart feeling somewhat empty. I did finally get a dog about 5 years
ago. She was a birthday gift from my sister (just because she refused to let
me convince myself to remain pet-less) not too long after that I got
a squalling little kitten (thanks again to my sister who again
refused to let me remain a single pet owner...do you all see a
pattern here). Well the puppy grew up and had puppies (fun times) but
sadly not too long after I had to say goodbye to the mom but I still
had one puppy which pretty much brings us up to the present. The puppy
is now kind of a grumpy old man that will find Oreo's no matter
where I try to hide them and about 6 months ago my son found a stray well really a "dumped off" puppy that followed him everywhere. I just
couldn’t say no to that sweet face, so we now have one inside dog and one outside dog (wow did that puppy grow really big in 6 months)
Ok so, like I said it has NOTHING to do
with crafts or “yarning”as my son likes to call it
but hey so what and so
without further ado let me introduce my newest friend.....
Sticker
He is a 9 week old African Pygmy Hedgehog . He is sooo much fun and I'm absolutely crazy excited to have him.
His color is actually salt and pepper but his color pattern is described as a pinto
(ha love the horse reference there's a Tobiano color pattern too!)
Just cause he's so cute here is a couple more pictures of him sleeping he's spoiled already
Tomorrow I will have another post in honor of my new friend Sticker and then maybe I can get on with the whole crafting part of this blog.
